Written on May 2, 2008

Anyway, since we’ve featured this one long enough, we have removed it and replaced it with clean white space. Enjoy…..

I glimpse into your mind dear Leader. The birth of a thought.

I’m really surprised by you two. Both intelligent men some what schooled in physics I presumed.
Watch the tires again, one rolls uphill hits another tire , rolls back a bit and then proceeds to roll forward again!
What law of physics is that?
Six Million dollars indeed I could make a man for that much money.

Yes, I know, the tires even accelerate but the rest of the piece looks perfectly legit, which makes me wonder why the would go thru the trouble only to look like a fake. I do a little more research…..

After a little research here is what is claimed…”to answer the most frequently asked question about the commercial: The sequence where the the tires roll up a slope looks impossible….but there is a weight in each tire and when it is knocked, the wight is displaced and in an attempt to rebalance itself, the tire rolls up the slope.”

Now is this true, I presume so, but the only way to tell is to try it yoself….

Senior Olivier, the laws of physics is a man made concept and the universe was not consulted.
So in my world gravity is temporary inconvenience. Wheels rolling up hill on their own is a god send
It’s a great ad. This one and the same one two years ago which I think was a little better. Who am I to question The Leader.
    Your humble friend.

An earlier example of tires rolling uphill (from 1987) - The Way Things Go by Fischli and Weiss. You can see an excerpt on youtube -

There is a 30 minute DVD available - very entertaining!

I have seen that DVD too, but a long time ago. I think these guys wanted to sue Honda or Weiden for swiping the concept or something. I’ll have the secret police look into that too… thanks Brian. One of my best agents.
